Confessions {4/22}

-Artists finally getting behind the lyric video trend makes me extremely happy.  I hate giving play counts to hotmama62 when I watched their homemade lyric videos.  #IhumwhenIdontknowthewords

-Often times when I get home from my runs, Mr. Scrooge isn't home yet.  This is only significant because that means I put the dogs out, prepare doggy dinners, then go jump in the shower for concert time.  Since we have a stall shower, everything reverberates and it's so loud and awesome and concert-like and I don't have to worry about Mr. Scrooge's judgement when I don't know all the words and I just mumble through the sounds.  #showerconcerts

-I get lots of satisfaction on paying off my cards each month.. until I see just how sad it makes my checking account.  #dolladollabillyall

-Assholes that decide to pull over IN THE MEDIAN to get ticketed make me irate.  I bet if you just slowed down after you noticed the cop behind you with their lights on and put on your hazards or signal that you were going to turn, they'd probably follow you to a safer place, even if it's a mile down the road.  ANNNNDDD I bet if you decided to pull over in a safer location where the cop doesn't have an 95% chance of getting hit by a car, your rate of getting an actual ticket over a warning would probably decrease significantly.  I don't KNOW these things, but I'd guess these things to be true because that's how I'd operate if I was a cop.  Additionally, you wouldn't back up rush hour traffic with your doucheary, Douche.  #safetyfirst

-I often get behind on reading my blog subscriptions and when I read something in Feedly, I open the blog up in a new tab to comment on it.  If I see the post has more than 15 comments, I question the value of my comment (unless it's super funny), but often leave a comment anyways.  When I see 50+ comments, I'm like yeah, nope, not gonna bother.  #nopenopenope

-Having 50+ comments on a post would blow my mind and I'd probably get annoyed at all the emails (which I get each time someone comments, YAY!) after about 15-20.  I think the most comments a post of my ever received was 20 and that was back when Kathy hosted Humpday Confessions.  This kinda makes me glad I'm not a big time blogger.  #smallbutmighty

-I can barely contain my excitement about going to Greyhounds in Gettysburg (GIG).  I've been obnoxiously worried about how I'm going to fit 2 humans, 3 dogs (1 who REALLY likes his space, 1 who is petrified of life, and 1 who refuses to sleep), assorted dog items (beds, food, 1 crate, baby gate, etc), a suitcase for the humans, and whatever else may need to be transported into Yurtle.  I bit the bullet yesterday morning and called the Kia place and asked about cross bars for Yurtle and scheduled to have them installed today at 1130.  I also picked up a waterproof cargo bag from Walmart yesterday afternoon.  Now instead of worrying how it all will fit, I will just put it ON Yurtle and be done.  And I'll have a roof rack for next time so Phil and Meri won't be crowded, which makes this dog-mama rest easier.  #IlovemySUV #almostsoccermomstatus #GIG2015

-2 of the ladies at work that I want to be friends with noticed that I walked in with a Buffalo Wild Wings (BWW) cup yesterday after lunch and they were like, "You didn't invite us?!"  I admitted that I had to invite myself the first time and that they should too.  #strongindependentblackwoman

-I keep telling myself that I'm going to go back and read everyone's book reviews for the linkup, but I have yet to have time.  I did totally clean out my feedly on Monday though.  For those of you who recieved comments from me on your posts that were "old," you're welcome.  Anything older than 10 days, I didn't bother unless it was a really good comment.  #bloggerproblems

-I get it from Teh Dad and everyone in my family knows it... I am the WORST person to have to deal with when it comes to pending trips that I'm in charge of (I'm an excellent traveler once we leave the house).  I was an absolute terror last night.  About 95% of that was because when Mr. Scrooge got home after 6pm and suggested he go on a ride "since I won't get to ride for a while."  (direct quote, no shit, to which I responded, "It's FOUR days!")  I was so angry that I told him to go.  The night before a trip and he decides to do whatever the fuck he wants instead of helping me pack/prep things?  I might have tried to slay him with my eye glare.  He asked me if I was mad at him and I told him that if he was keeping me awake after 10pm because he was packing or fucking around, THEN I would be pissed.  Then I couldn't get the shower head off to put the new shower head on that I just bought, I finally gave up so I didn't strip it, which meant I definitely wasn't giving the dogs a bath (which had been Mr. Scrooge's idea anyways).  I got as much ready as I could.  Today will be the kicker getting everything into the cargo bag on Yurtle... I'm already not looking forward to it.  Oh yeah, he was definitely still up fucking around after 10pm and when I realized he was just checking his FB the rage seeped out of me via very strong peer pressure to the effect of, "BABE it will be there tomorrow!"  "Just turn off the damn light if you're going to spend all fucking night reading FB."  I'm super pleasant when I'm tired.  #oldladystatus

-Xero peed on me yesterday night when I picked him up to bring him to the bathroom for bathtime (which Mr. Scrooge did execute).  I didn't care because I was ragey at all the things.  #blindingrageisreal

-I cleaned the bedroom carpet last night at midnight and again at almost 5am.  I felt totally validated for being an asshole at bedtime.  Both times were because one of the asshole dogs shit in the floor.  The first time was driblets.. the 2nd time was 2 big piles and a little pile.  Mr. Scrooge offered to clean it the 2nd time, which meant I had to teach him how to use the carpet cleaner at 5am.  He did pretty good except for the part where he lifted the entire machine and instead of locking the bottom piece to be at a 90 degree angle of the handle, he just let it flop and shit water went all over everything.  There wasn't any cuteness that could be determined at that moment to save him.  I just sat and looked at him in horror.  I still can't actually believe he did it.  Soon after that, I took over the 5am session. #poopsplosions #ilovecleaningthecarpet #saidnooneever

-Meeting another blogger in real life and not getting murdered was every bit as awesome as I wanted it to be.  Thanks Lara!  #NotEveryoneIsASerialKiller  #paranoid

-When my friends and I comment almost the same thing on a mutual FB friend's status, I just wanna be like great minds think alike high five!  #ilovehighfives

-After I post this, I'm vowing to be in a better mood.  Nothing like a cleansing confessions session to get things off my mind and give me the power to move on.  #mindovermatter

Weekend Review {4/20}

FRIDAY

I had planned on leaving work by noon to get to Durham in time for packet pick up for my 10-miler.  I should have known it wouldn't be that easy.  The ONE time I tell my boss that I'm flexing my hours and leaving early, is the ONE time he needs me to stay to work on something.  I tried not to be impatient, but I could FEEL the minute slipping by and my rush getting worse and worse.  He had asked me to wait until 1 to leave, which really would have put me in a bind and I explained to him that I wasn't just leaving to leave, I had to pick up my packet and I was already only giving myself an hour of leeway.  With him finally understand that I wasn't just trying to be a slacker, he was more willing to work with me, thankfully.  Have I mentioned lately how much I love my job?  I love my job.

I'm a good planner, so I was able to leave striaght from work instead of having to go home for anything.  I'm super glad I added some extra time for travel because I had to detour off 95 to avoid construction in northern SC.  It was kind of a win though because where the detour met the interstate again, gas was only $2.09.  This is relevant because last Tuesday, gas was $2.04, then on Thursday it was $2.17, then on Friday morning it was $2.23... so a HUGE jump!  No me gusta!  I got gas there and then got back on 95.  I stopped in Fayettenam at Teh Sister's house to drop off a desk since Teh Utah Specialist is going to start taking classes and expressed interest in having a desk and I happened to have one just sitting in the garage...

I didn't get to stay long, but I did stay long enough for my neph-dogs to thoroughly clean every orfice in my face with their tongues.  It might have been face rape.  But they are my neph-dogs and as long as there's no penises in my face, we're good.  I can deal with a solid.. tongue lashing.  bahah.

I took back roads to Chapel Hill from Fayettenam and, of course, I hit construction during Friday rush hour traffic.  That was a delight.  Despite all the set backs, I still managed to make it a little after 6 to packet pickup.  I got my bib and t-shirt and picked up a gel and a crash the party shirt (because no self-respecting NC State grad tolerates wearing Carolina blue when they have an option not to).

Solo photobooth time?  YES PLEASE.

I had been in contact with Lara throughout the day and after getting all my stuffs, we met for dinner at Bocci's.  Shrimp, scallops, and calamari in risotto?  Count me in.  I wish I would have asked for a white sauce, but it is what it is.  Of course, I had to end with a cannoli.  Lara got the cheesecake and we were both in awe over the strawberry swan.

After dinner and chatting about running and life and work and all the Carolina Douche* in our lives, it was time to call it a night.

I made it to Teh Advising Sister's house with no issues, showered, called Mr. Scrooge to chat for a bit, then it was time to crash.

*Carolina Douche is the new official term that Lara and her husband coined for dudes who wear "Southern" styles.  To include pants with embroidery or pants in weird colors (like salmon or pastels), bowties, cheap sunglasses that kinda look like Ray-Bans, and anything seersucker.  These individuals can often be found at your local fraternity and will commonly refer to each other as "bro."

SATURDAY

Saturday morning started early but I was able to get to Chapel Hill with no issues and only minimal traffic hassles.  BTW, the only time I will ever admit to following a crowd is when I have no idea where I'm going and I know that all the people in my vicinity are going to the same place as me.  I did stop following the crowd when I noticed that most people were turning to find parking and there was a sign that indicated there was more parking straight ahead.  Being the genius I am, I didn't go with the crowd.  I arrived at a parking garage and the kid directing traffic was doing a piss poor job and instead of going with everyone else and turning left, I went straight since the kid wasn't paying attention (and I didn't know not to).  I heard his whistle blaring as I went up the ramp and I slowed down, but since no one was coming after me, I continued on.  I was easily able to find parking in all the open spots!

Lara had gotten stuck in traffic, so I waited in Yurtle for a bit, then decided to make my way down to the start area.  Again, I had no idea where I was going, so I just followed all the other people with bibs on.  Because packet pickup was stupid and stretched across the mall, I didn't pick up any safety pins and Lara had brought some for me.  I took some selfies in the stadium and stretched while I was waiting on her.

It was my first time ever in the UNC stadium.  I was horrible at being in college.

Blogger selfies!  We failed at getting a photo together Friday night.

The Tarheel 10-Miler was pretty awesome... if you don't count mile 9, which was the Laurel Hill challenge.  I knew there was a challenge hill.  I knew it would be steep.  I knew it would be difficult.  I didn't know it was going to be at MILE LAST FREAKIN ONE or that it was the ENTIRE mile or that it was THAT difficult.  Holy Hera, I wanted to dieeeeee.  My pace had been awesome up to that point and I started running up and not even 15 seconds into the hill I was all NOPE, F that and started walking.  I was still trying to push myself because I knew how good my pace had been and I didn't want to loose that progress and my goal was to finish under 1:40.  I had made sure to open up my pace during the downhills as much as possible.  But the last quarter mile, I got a stitch in my side and I was having to walk when I would have normally been able to sprint out the end.  Death would have been preferable.  Nonetheless, I finished.

That last mile.. UGGGHHHHH.  And at least half of mile 7 was a pretty steep downhill, it was all the awesomes.

I plan to do a review of the race in a different post.  There were good and bad things and sadly most of the bad things were after the race finished.  To include only having 1 place to get water and that was immediately after you finished the race, that I could find.

After I walked through the stadium (and rolled at the physical therapy tent, YAY for foam rollers!) I headed back to Yurtle.  Lara had done the 4-miler, so she had finished way before me and headed home, and I didn't blame her.  After going through 3 parking garages, I finally found Yurtle.  I decided at that point that I wasn't going to wear my drenched shirt all the way to Fayettenam.  I pulled it off standing in the parking garage and didn't feel a little bit sorry after seeing all the itty-bitty titty committee members running only in a sports bra and some booty shorts.  I put on another shirt and then decided that I wasn't going to endure my soaking bra for 1.5 hours either, so I took that sucker off and free-boobed it all the way to Fayettenam.  Sadly, I didn't think of changing into my PJ pants for the drive, or I probably would have done that instead of sitting in my swamp ass pants.  Live and learn.

I headed to Teh Sister's house again, but this time for a shower.  I could have went back to Teh Advising Sister's apt, but it was the opposite direction and Teh Sister and I had already agreed to a Red Robin date.  Teh Sister was in class when I got there, but Teh Utah Specialist let me in and my neph-dogs accosted me while I rolled again in the living room floor.  At one point, I put the littlest weenie dog between my legs to keep him from licking my nostrils and Teh Utah Specialist laughed and me and said, "Heheheh, you have a weenie between your legs."  I fell off my roller laughing.

We met Teh Sister at Red Robin after getting ready and I was too hungry to take a photo of my delicious burger and once I realized I was a horrible blogger, my hands were already covered in grease and all sorts of deliciousness and I just couldn't be bothered since I was making sweet eating love to that burger.  I was a much nicer, satisfied person after consuming all those calories.

I left Fayettenam and headed back to Charleston.  When I arrived, Mr. Scrooge had went on a ride, but when he came home about 30 minutes after I arrived, he came with cannolis in hand, so he was forgiven.  I had planned for Mr. Scrooge to plan dinner since I knew I was going to be too tired.  We ended up going to sushi and it was delicious.  When we went home, I was exhausted so after checking my work email (since I needed to check and see about the Friday tasking thing, which wasn't sent until 3:30, so waiting until 1 would have been a waste anyways) it was bedtime soon after.

SUNDAY

Sunday morning Mr. Scrooge woke up at 1am and turned on the lights and I was pretty pissed off then I smelled IT.  The smell of putrid POOPSPLOSION.  It wasn't even worth trying to clean up by hand, so I pulled out the carpet cleaner and just cleaned the carpet.  Mr. Scrooge got dog food ready for breakfast since I had forgotten to do it before going to bed.  I also think I figured out the source of the POOPSPLOSION after seeing how much food he had given the dogs.  Have I mentioned how cute Mr. Scrooge is?  VERY cute.  He had given Meri and Xero the same amount of food as Phil... Let me put that into perspective for you.  The 30 and 40 pound dogs were getting the same amount of food as the 80 pound dog.  When I asked him how much he had given them and he admitted 1 scoop, it all kinda clicked together.  I asked him to fix it and he started putting the extra food in Phil's bowl...  Yeah.. no.  I finally was like, "Please just dump them all out and start again and if it's too much trouble, just leave it and I'll take care of it."  I said this as I was dumping poop water down the drain and cleaning out the scrub brushes, so he was wise to have just went back to the dog food and started over.

Finally, we all went back to bed.  At 6, the dogs woke me up and I fed them breakfast.  Mr. Scrooge had done at good job at measuring out the food this time.  As soon as the dogs were fed and had went business, I washed off their feet (since we have swamp yard again) and we all went back to bed.  Mr. Scrooge actually got up an hour before me, which is strange, but I let it happen so I could enjoy the whole bed.

We eventually decided on going out for lunch and then picking up something at the grocery store to make for dinner.  I finally decided on Hyman's Seafood Company.  It was delicious.  The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.  In addition to the server, the manager and the owner both stopped by our table to make sure everything was ok and to tell us if we didn't like something to speak up.  There wasn't anything not to like.

Boobies.

Fried Green Tomatoes, a free appetizer (yay, Yelp coupons that the server told us we had)

I had their shrimp and grits, which was the best evar and Mr. Scrooge ordered the combo plate.  We had planned to share, but Mr. Scrooge didn't eat his half of my plate, so I brought it with me to work today for lunch.. NOOOOOMMMMM.

After a delicious lunch, we headed to the commissary to pick up something for dinner.  Mr. Scrooge decided to cook ribs, which was fine with me.   While he was cooking the ribs and laying in the hammock being mosquito bait, I was inside scrubbing the bathroom for TWO HOURS.  I think I may have some extreme OCD tendencies when it comes to cleaning.  To the point that I used an old toothbrush to get in the grooves in the shower and scrubbed every single block with the scrubber side of a sponge.  I'm serious business.  It hadn't been super scrubbed in a few months, just kinda wiped down, so it was time for a deep clean.

After I finished cleaning, I helped Mr. Scrooge with the green beans and worked on the laundry.  Finally it was dinner time and it was too delicious to take a photo of, sorry not sorry.  Instead, I will give you a photo of my little girl and her adorable self.

It's a short week here since we're headed to Gettysburg, PA this week for Greyhound in Gettysburg!  I'm super pumped and I don't think Mr. Scrooge is prepared for the cult he's about to encounter.  I already have a super special Friday post scheduled... the long awaited ID photos post.  You should definitely check it out because you'll laugh.  Promise.

Happy Monday, Gentle Readers!

Five on Friday #fidy

UNO

I met the CEO of Company yesterday.  I like to believe that I got extra points because I just so happened to be wearing my Company fleece jacket since I was chilly... or at least that it made up for the potentially bad impression he may have gotten of me...  Let me explain.

After being deeply engrossed in a Reddit article someone on my FB feed had shared for about 30 minutes, I realized that a coworker who shares every.single.thought he has in the group chat (that 99% of doesn't apply to me) was no longer blocked.  I had blocked him 45 minutes prior and it had been working.. but was no longer and I wasn't a fan of this change of events and I was verbalizing that.

As I wrapped up my mini-rant, I was approached by a stranger who introduced himself to me and my quad-mate.  I semi-recognized his name but it took me a few minutes to pinpoint why.  This was the CEO who I had chose not to meet when our office set up a Happy Hour on Tuesday that I didn't attend (because it was far away and from 4-6 and there was no way I was going to get stuck on the wrong side of the bridges to schmooze).  As I'm having this revelation, my coworker doesn't feel me glaring at him to give him the "important person" look and ask, "What projects are you working on?"

Coworker proceeds to get tomato-face as the CEO explains he's kinda on all the projects, but he's the most useless on all of them since he's the CEO.  Coworker quickly recovers but gives me the look like he might die soon.  CEO had barely walked away when we lost our shit and started cackling.  That's what we get for not going to schmooze.

DOS

Of 6200 people, I am 2625th in the Moon Jogger rankings.  My goal for this year is 500 miles.  I'm at 214 miles since January 1, 2015.  I have a running problem.  Or maybe it's a medal problem.  Whatevs.  MOUSE BOUND 2016!!!

So can we all just send up a prayer/hopes/good thoughts/positive vibes/whatever you believe in for my NOT getting hurt and having to interrupt my running schedule to recover... mmkayyy thanks.

My favorite thing about today is that I get to hang out in one of my favorite places (Raleigh) AND I get to meet someone new face-to-face AND it's the day before a race, which is always exciting.

Also, I researched the 10k they are doing at home, home on July 4th and turns out they are only giving medals to the winners of each age group.  Meh, not as interested anymore.

TRES

If I was a fashion blogger, I'd totally post some of my outfit selfies here.  I usually just send them to Teh MD Adult Roomie and Teh Soccer Mom Saint.  I will share that I bought these pants yesterday and it was reported to me that Teh MD Adult Roomie actually gasped outloud in horror.

Seriously though, I'm such a hippy at heart and Teh MD Adult Roomie says these aren't work acceptable pants and I'm going to show her.  The Navy taught me that bell bottom pants are perfectly acceptable dress clothes...

Baby Navy Megan (I couldn't find my more updated photos, /tear).  I LOVED the cut of those pants.. nothing else but the cut.

Ok, fine, I'll show you some of outfit selfies.  Please excuse the fact that these were all taken in the bathroom at work.  I have a full-length mirror at home, but the lighting in the bedroom is poor and the mirror isn't that wide.. It's just not a good selfie mirror.

I thought I had more phone selfies, but I guess not.  I even looked in our chat history and couldn't find more than this, even though I know I've sent more photos than this.  Outfit selfie FAILURE.

QUATRO

Let me just share some ridiculous shit from my phone with you because these things need to be shared with the internets..

Fortunately, they were parked before I was, so I just got super close to them.  But seriously Blue Sticker* Person, you've been judged

"Welcome to the cougar den!"  I can't even make that up.  Kudos to Mr. Scrooge for noticing that one.

That is the sun shining like it was a sunny day.. but it was RAINING.  CHS get your shit together.

This is a reaction selfie I took to send to Teh Sister after she told me Teh Mom had pretty much given her permission to cut up and use our Disney books for wedding bouquets and she made fun of my "poof".. at which point I TOLD HER about the fact that my hair was back so I could let it down later so I could get that fresh whiff of my shampoo.  I also have this thing where I pull my hair back and have zero fucks to give about how I look when I'm actually working.  You are welcome, Coworkers.  PS. I'M A UNICORN!

This happens to be some ridiculously AWESOME shit.  Instead of salt life or lake life or whatever other types of lives these Charlestonians live, this one says Walt Life and that's totally a life I can get behind.

CINCO

I downloaded Evil Apples on Suzy2.5 and I'm addicted.  Mr. Scrooge is the worst at playing (part because he can't have his phone at work and part because he wouldn't judge and chose to watch Chopped instead (which I was relentless about until he finally judged his round)).  Additionally, the first time you try to play on an Android, the game is super buggy.  It's like it has to get warmed up before it can properly function, similar to me in the mornings.

I would love to have more friends that play.. so if you already play or you're interested in playing I'm easily reachable!  email me or message me on Teh FBs.

PS. Evil Apples is the mobile version of Cards Against Humanity, essentially.  It's not made by the same people (their loss), but it's pretty awesome nonetheless.  You can play with randoms for 1 piece cake (or for "free" with your friends) and you get coins for winning rounds and a piece of cake for winning a game.  The same rules apply for when you play with your friends.  Coins can be used to "buy" things in the store (expansion cards, etc) and cake is used to play with more randoms.  Other than the initial buggyness, I'm lovin' it.  JOIN ME!!!

We would be this cool if we were Evil Apple friends.....

*Before military bases decided to smarten up and quit using base stickers (hello OPSEC issues much?), blue stickers were given to officers, red stickers were given to enlisted, and white/green stickers were given to contractors/civilians

Confessions {4/15}

-The new lady who was just hired wears white New Balance trainers every day with cargo pants and a t-shirt and a fleece Columbia jacket.  She makes me feel overdressed.  I judge her and I can't help it.  I've never even spoken to her other than our introduction and she seems like a nice person.. but seriously?  Cubs t-shirts (almost) every day?  Also, who still wears their keys (complete with several grocery cards and a janitor amount of keys) on their belt loop?  Is someone at work going to steal your keys?  No.  #icanttakeyouseriouslywhenyouredressedlikethat

-Sometimes when I comment on FB posts from friends that Teh Bear and I share, I check to see if he has liked it or not.  #itsnotstalking

-There are modifications I'd like to make to Mike, but ugh dollas spent on my little beater bike wasn't something I was prepared to do.  But seriously, Mike's eye (headlight) points to the ground, not straight in front of me and I'm not sure what decision making went into the after-market rear signal lights, but it was poor since you can barely see them.  Finally, Mike doesn't have lit gauges which means that rides have to be completed before sunset for maximum safety (the irony isn't lost on me, Padre). I don't wanna talk about it.  #fml

-I called Teh Dad and Teh Mom before posting on FB about wrecking Mike.  See, I AM a good kid!  #justcallyourparents

-I have a playlist call "For Repeating" that I sometimes just have a few songs on that I listen to over and over and over and over and.. you get it.  Recently it's been breakup songs.
Let It Go by James Bay
Withdrawal - Tyler Farr
Slow Me Down - Sara Evans
Cut Your Teeth - Kyla La Grange
#musiccantellyoumyfeelings

-I have taught myself to turn my space heater up/down with my toes which saves me from having to go under my desk and mess with it.  Greatly reducing the risk of me hitting my head on my desk on the way back up and eliminating the possible comments that I always think that no one else says about being under the desk.  #fingertoes

-I'm still dealing with realizations and haven't done anything about said realizations.  Because I'm a fucking moron mostly, that's really the only reason I have assessed for having done nothing.  I'm full of excuses though.. FULL UP TO MY EARS with excuses.  #excusesfordays

-I sent Teh Sister an article about baby names and her immediate response was, "WHHHHY are you looking at this page?"  I had to explain to her that I've always been fascinated by names and naming kids and popular names and the history/use of names, etc.  It was only awkward for a minute...  #sometimesmyinterestsareembarrassing

-I was listening to the radio (by accident) Monday morning and heard a lady say something about how she loves multimedia and technology as a reasoning behind her mother-in-law finding out about the birth of the grandchild via social media (she had tried to call but MIL was unavailable for an extended period of time).  My reaction was, "She loves VCRs and DVD players and computers and tvs and telephones?"  I think she meant to say SOCIAL MEDIA, but failed.  As a media major, this is a thing for me.  Social media is not the same as multimedia.  I have also been known to say "social mediums" in reference to multiple social media sites (i.e. The Twitter, Facebooks, Googly+, Tumblr, Reddit as ONE thing).  #bigwordsdontmakeyousoundsmarter

-When there is a Woot Off, I may or may not sit on Woot all day refreshing it.  I announce to my friends and coworkers when something good gets posted.  For instance, Teh MD Adult Roomie bought new phone chargers today.  #yesiamanenabler #themoreyoubuythemorewootsthereare

-I signed up for the Beat the Blerch virtual race.  It's the race that the guy who writes The Oatmeal puts on/does/whatever IDK.  Knowing that I won't be able to actually run in any of the locations AND knowing that the Navy-Air Force race is the weekend before the NJ run made it easy to just sign up for the virtual run.  #givemeyourmedals

-I signed up for the Navy-Air Force half marathon.  It will be the 1 year anniversary of mine and Ms. Motivator's first half-marathon.  I was hesitant about signing up at first because that means taking time off and getting to DC and running 13.1 miles again and training during the summer.. again, uuugghhh.  I knew when I saw open registration I was going to do it and I should have just signed up then and saved myself $10.  #atwhatpointdoihaveanaddiction

-I forgot my hydration belt for my Monday run and my shorts didn't have any pockets so I had to carry my phone for 4 miles without dropping it.  I was successful, but holy moly stressful!  #runnerproblems

-I finally broke down and bought 2 new sports bras from Victoria's Secret since I had a $20 rebate thingy and there were some good coupons.  Mr. Scrooge happened to be sitting nearby when I loaded the site and he happened to see the price and he was all WTF $60!?!  Yeah, welcome to the world of tit-hood, MFer.  #boobssuck

-I'm ready for my 10-miler on Saturday with Lara!  I can't even wait.  I'm so ridiculously excited.  #bloggerfriendsmeetinginreallife

-Sometimes when I buy new things I can't help myself and often give them a "test run" before actually starting to use them regularly, which is what happened Monday.  Mostly this applies to hygiene items like body wash and shampoo/conditioner.  I've never been more excited to run out of shampoo as I was yesterday.  Washing my hair with the Organix tsubaki blossom shampoo/conditioner made my morning.  I even wore my hair down again just so I could sit and sniff my hair all day long.  I want to walk up to random people and tell them to smell my hair because it smells so amazing.  I don't do sponsored posts, but if Organix wanted to give me free bottles of this stuff, I'd totally take it.  #Ismellamazing

-My money spending has been out of control this week.  I'm really mourning Mike and not dealing with other issues, oh so well.  Several times I've been "window shopping" online (woot is the devil) and started strongly considering buying items and then I just have to close out all of the tabs because poor-dom sucks.

-Yesterday I was totally looking forward to my meatloaf leftovers for lunch.  I also brought hominy, so it was going to be delicious.  First off, my hominy had leaked all over my lunchbox AND me when I pulled it out.  THEN when I opened the containers to heat the leftovers up, I realized I had brought the steak leftovers instead of meatloaf and I decided instead to just go out for lunch.  All that said, I'm SUPER pumped about my meatloaf for lunch today that I triple checked before I left home.  #firstworldproblems
