Five on Friday #52

UNO

I finally watched the HUGE thing that happens this season in Grey's and I was fine with it (what with it being completely spoiled... /flatface)..  100% fine.  AND THEN THEY STARTED PLAYING CHASING CARS AND I LOST MY SHIT.

I have 2 more episodes to watch (assuming at 24 episode season (boo to not having 28 episodes like back in the day)) and prior to the spoiler I was having all the feelz, so I'm thinking the last 2 might punch me in the feelz again since I don't know what happens (please don't tell me while I go in my hole for the next 24 hours to finish the season off, plskthx).

But really, it can end now.

DOS

Yesterday, I brought Phil to work with me and today I brought Meri with me.  Phil is way more laid back than Meri, but he was completely ready to leave by 1:30.  So far Meri has been better than I expected.  She roamed around this morning before everyone arrived and she barked once at the 2 people that arrived after us, making herself at home.  Now that people have started coming in, she's settled beside me.  Have I mentioned how much I love my puppies lately?  They really are the best.

TRES

Hopefully Mike will be back in my possession this weekend!  When I called on Thursday to inquire the status of the repairs, I was told that he should be fixed up that afternoon or Friday.  Fingers crossed because I've really been wanting to ride after seeing all these other lucky non-motorcycle-crashers on the road.

QUATRO

My goal this weekend is to finish vacuuming the house.  Seriously.  I'm ridiculous.  Additionally, I'm going to watch the final 2 episodes of Grey's and do other random cleaning that really needs to be done and hopefully get to go on a ride with Mr. Scrooge (if Mike gets to come home) and I'll do the laundry.  I've been super lazy and unproductive at home for the last few months (I'm not even exaggerating).  A lot of it has to do with relationship drama and how I pretty much just bunker down and cease to exist when I have things going on... that included cleaning the house.  Not that the drama has really come to an end, but my house is now reaching that intolerable stage where something must be done.

This has really come to light this week as Mr. Scrooge has ceased to function due to working 10-12 hour days due to a huge project thing his command has going on.  To the point that he says he does stuff and I know he hasn't.  For instance, yesterday night I mentioned we were out of milk and he said he knew and that he had written it on the list.  When I checked this morning, milk was NOT on the list.  I know he means to do things, but he's just too tired to function and realize that he's not following through.  Same with the dishes that he said he started to put in the dishwasher.. and by started he meant that he thought about doing it and then didn't.

I'm not even judging because I know I get like that too and I know he has dealt with my issues before so I have no right to bitch.  Really it's more of an observation that we are very similar in our mannerisms and how we deal with things.  When I did become so self-actualized and logical?  #WTFisthisadultshit

(PS. Scary = searching adult on pinterest for an image/gif and realizing what you just did and how bad it could be.. thank jebus it was mostly just adult beverages that came up.)

CINCO

I forgot about Pinterest for a while then Teh Sister reminded me of it yesterday and I'm like ALL THE THINGS!  My sign is Aquarius and I don't necessarily get into horoscopes, but I do find it amusing when the personality stuff is on point.

Happy Friday, Gentle Readers.
Linking up with these ladies since it's FFFFRRRRRRIIIIIIDDDDAAAAYYYY!!!!!!!!!

  1. I get the same way about cleaning up- it just doesn't happen when I have other stuff going on, especially in my head. But I'm about to tackle it this weekend too- good luck!! And hope you get Mike back!

  2. I'm the same way when it comes to cleaning. I'm going to spend later this week cleaning my house, it just needs to be done. Ugh, I dread it.

  3. I've thought about starting to watch Grey's but I've never seen an episode and making my way though 15 seasons seems like a lot. I figure the day will come when we'll cut the cable cord and instead of watching endless People's Court I'll watch a real show.
