Erin's Challenge 7.0

Erin's Challenge is upon us again!  Because I am an invalid, it wasn't difficult for me to find the time select my books. #notsorry

Here's what's what.

5 points: Freebie – Read a book that is at least 200 pages

  • TBD.

10 points: Read a book that starts with the letter “B”

10 points: Read a book that has a (mostly) yellow cover

15 points: Read a book that has a picture of an animal on the cover (submitted by Mattie)

20 points: Read a book that was published in 2017 (submitted by Olya)

20 points: Read a book with a compass or cardinal direction in the title (submitted by Mary)

25 points: The ALA’s “Banned Books Week” occurs while our challenge is happening. Read a book from this list of the most commonly banned books in America: (submitted by Christina)

30 points: Read a fictional book about mental illness (submitted by Jamie)

30 points: Read a book with a non-human main character; i.e. animals, elves, gods, robots, merpeople, etc. (submitted by Bev)

35 points: Read a book a Disney movie was based on OR a book based on a Disney movie (submitted by Kirsten)

The only conundrum I have for this challenge is that I need Brosh's book to be published in September.  If it gets pushed back (again), then I'll have to make some adjustment since I'll probably read Furiously Happy instead, which means I'll read Thirteen Reasons for my mental illness category and I'll have to read Catch-22 for my banned book, if I read Cursed Child for my yellow cover.  #itshardtobeme

Also, TJR's book hasn't been published yet, but I'm not expecting that one to get delayed (watch me eat those words).  Fingers crossed.

I pulled all these books off my TBR list #likeaboss.  Also, almost all of them should be available from my library, which is a positive for my pocket.  I will buy the Brosh book since I already own her other book.
