17 May: Soooo CALL ME MAYBE!

Day 17, Friday: A favorite photo of yourself and why

 Don't judge me.
Ok, judge the shit out of me.

This is my drunken, Call Me Maybe face.. and by face I mean, I might have been in the middle of serenading sober people my favoritest pop song evarrrrrr.

I'm not even going to lie, the excitement portrayed in this photo is the same excitement level I have every time I hear this song.  I blare the radio/ipod and belt this song out at the top of my lungs because I can appreciate a completely ridiculous person (myself) every now and then.

Also, this song reminds me of being in Australia and being in complete Teh Megan mode (as in, being myself).
I was driving back to our resort hotel place thingy with Teh Australian Travel Companion and this song came on the radio and I, of course, turned it up.  Reminder: I was driving.  I was singing and dancing and doing head movements and the whole 9 yards.  I'm Serious Bizness, ya'll.
So anyways, we stop at a red light (because that's what you do when the light is red) and a few seconds later a car pulls up beside us.  I'm dancing and singing like a fool and my Travel Companion has "God, please spare me from this insane person." written all over his face.  I'm not paying attention to anything but the song and the red light and he happens to look over at the car beside us.  The driver and passenger are looking over at me laughing.  As he brings this to my attention, I look over at them and they started dancing and singing too.  Obviously, they were the coolest Australians on the continent/in the country (I'm not really sure what Australia likes to call itself so we'll go with both).  The light turned green a few seconds later and the song ended less than a kilometer down the road.  #beststoryever

So..  maybe now I just do it to test Americans to see if they will dance and sing along with me?  So far, there have been no Americans as cool as those Australians.  Bummer.

PS.  Australia boomerang earrings and my made in Scotland ring.  2012 was a good year.
